greatest commandment

‘The most important one,’ answered Jesus, ‘is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.’

Mark 12:29-31

A New Neighborhood

The move was completed this week. I had some awesome helping loading on Wednesday and then drove that truck down the mountain…whew!…to meet the awesome help who unloaded that same afternoon.

The exciting part about moving (besides a house instead of an apartment) is the new neighborhood. My street is short with just 8 houses on it, and there are a few more houses scattered about campus. It’s a sweet little street that is going to become even more beautiful as relationships blossom here.

The Greatest Commandment

Jesus says the greatest commandment is to love God with all that we are worth. And the second one is to love your neighbor as yourself. I’m looking forward to the opportunities we will have on this street to love one another. We’ve already talked about neighborhood gatherings and watching the children play together. I think my grands are gonna love visiting YaYa even more than they already do!

I’m convinced this community is going to fulfill the greatest commandment with a fervor. And I can’t wait to see it unfold.
