Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually].
A Prayer for the beloved
The apostle John wrote this prayer for Gaius in his third letter to the church. I think it’s a prayer that we should all pray for one another. And I like to think it’s the prayer that God has for all our lives too.
It reminds me that I am His beloved. And that He wants nothing but the best for me, both physically and spiritually.
It’s a reminder that I need every day. Maybe you need the same reminder. Because life has a way of making us forget this important piece of information. You are loved. We are all loved.
How much would our lives change if we could remember this every day? The world would likely be a different place if we all acted out of this knowledge.
I pray we all remember that we are loved today.
