It is always such a humbling experience for me to have to ask for something. Even at this stage in my life I am very much in the learning phase. I humbly requested prayers even on the morning my post was due. I sent out this prayer request: I have never run this close. Please pray I finish my visitor post early today with the Holy Spirit’s mercy and grace of the gift of words of wisdom from our Lord!
I was so fortunate to receive prayers right away from some blessed sisters in Christ.
- I’m praying for God’s wisdom and His mercy to flow, so that you’ll know it’s Him! I’m claiming Victory for you as you have a beautiful way of expressing yourself! Let it be! XO
- Praying for God’s strength to finish your post early today, Marie! You CAN do all things through Christ!
- Please Lord Jesus allow my personal witness to You and my faith to be a Gift of healing prayer.
I was responding to some posts on Sunday as people were pouring over their grief in having lost dears ones that they loved. Someone had lost a mother recently and an anniversary of a daughter’s death was as many years ago as she had lived. One person had just lost a thirteen year old nephew and was showing a photo of him with his brothers and cousins responding they never realized this would be his last one, and how do you let them now he has died?
I understand death and grief in ways I do not even want to admit or talk about.
Death as we know it is final and permanent until we reach the heavenly gates where those we loved here are with the angels waiting to welcome us to the world of no pain and suffering, no guilt or temptation. Forty-one years ago on a Christmas Eve, my family lost my mother’s youngest sister, her husband, her four children, a live in baby sitter and her young daughter in a fire. So I am lifting those of you who are grieving in prayer…I will not say I know what you feel, but I do understand loss and hang onto the fact they are now watching over us as we continue on our journey toward heaven! So I am lifting others in prayer for the gift of healing and praying for the Holy Spirit to embrace each person feeling this loss.
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Romans 16:20
I understand the way I live is a testimony of my faith when I am enduring difficult situations in my life. Without realizing it, this testimony of faith may be influencing a relative, friend or even an acquaintance who is observing what I am going through and how I am reacting.
Am I watching the words I choose? The gospel of John warns us,
You are from your father the devil, and you choose to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44
I need to be aware not to allow the evil one to whisper his lies about my inadequacies. And cause me to act in a way that is not pleasing to my Heavenly Father and the coming of His Kingdom.
May the trauma and pain of the past be removed from my soul, so that Christ’s peace can over take my emotions. May all my guilt and self-condemnation be replaced by the grace and mercy found in the finished work of our Lord Jesus at the foot of the cross.
Someday I am praying to be totally amazed by my Savior when I looked back on the circumstances of my life and realize in my weaknesses were the places Christ love shone the brightest!
I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the LORD; let the humble hear and be glad.
I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed.
This poor soul cried, and was heard by the LORD, and was saved from every trouble.
O fear the LORD, you his holy ones, for those who fear him have no want.
Come, O children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
The LORD is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.
The LORD redeems the life of his servants; none of those who take refuge in him will be condemned.
