Yahweh-Shalom – “Yahweh” means the Lord; “shalom” means peace.
In Judges 6, we meet God as The Lord is Peace.
And Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the Lord is peace”). Judges 6:24 NLT
Have you ever felt the need to hide? Sometimes we hide for safety. Other times we hide so we don’t get found out. Gideon may have been doing a bit of both. What do we do when we feel the need to hide?
Remember all that God has done for you.
Count on God seeing you through.
Rest in the peace of the Lord.

Thanks for creating community here with us! The Big Red Sofa Series is about the things I see in life that make me go hmmmm. What God teaches me in scripture. The ordinary things that God can use to drive home spiritual lessons. The questions I sometimes ask. The stories we can all share. So pull up a cushion and join me on the sofa. I’d love to hear from you!
