The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
It’s pretty well known around here that I’m not much of a wait-er. I sincerely believe that when it’s time to move forward, it’s time to move forward, and what are we waiting for anyway?
Waiting is not my strong suit. And doing it quietly? Well, not so much.
But I’m learning that there is good in the wait. That when we put our hope in Him, He is good to us. And that we find our salvation when we wait quietly for the Lord.
This weekend, I was forced to wait quietly. That’s what happens when there is 8″ of snow on the ground. The entire landscape is blanketed in quiet and there is nothing to do but slow down and simply wait.
