boldness

Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time. Hebrews 4:16 HCSB

My Bible study group has been studying prayer. This verse was in one of our recent lessons as we talked about fighting the real enemy. The enemy is not God. It’s not ourselves. It’s certainly not one another. The enemy is Satan. And he will do anything and everything he can think of to knock us off our game, try to get in our heads, and rip apart our lives, our homes, our families, our churches.

I’m learning anew that prayer is the answer. Lifting the name of Jesus and coming to the throne boldly is what throws Satan off his game. He’s the one that should be running scared…not us.
